{"id":3210,"date":"2020-11-21T13:13:29","date_gmt":"2020-11-21T13:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/salinareport.com\/?p=3210"},"modified":"2020-12-16T13:14:36","modified_gmt":"2020-12-16T13:14:36","slug":"city-facilities-closed-to-public-services-continue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salinareport.com\/?p=3210","title":{"rendered":"City Facilities Closed to Public, Services Continue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the statewide two-week freeze ended on December 2, Jackson County entered precautions under the\u00a0<em><strong>Extreme Risk<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0guidance.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community, City Hall and the Lausmann Annex will be closed to the public until further notice.<\/p>\n<p>While we\u2019re closing public access to our facilities,\u00a0<u>we aren\u2019t shutting down operations<\/u>. We will continue to provide essential services to our community. Signage will be posted at all building entrances with contact information.<\/p>\n<p>Meetings with City staff will be by appointment only. All Board, Commission and Committee meetings will be held virtually.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Continuing Essential Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Essential services that have continued uninterrupted include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Police and Fire services<\/li>\n<li>Utility services<\/li>\n<li>Municipal Court<\/li>\n<li>Public Works and Parks Maintenance services<\/li>\n<li>Development Services<\/li>\n<li>Capital projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>City phones continue to be answered and employees continue to work remotely whenever possible.<br \/>\n<strong>Municipal Court<\/strong><br \/>\nMunicipal Court is closed to the public\u00a0<strong>but still conducting court by telephone.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>If you are scheduled for court on a day when City Hall is closed<\/strong>, please call 541-774-2040 for further instructions on how to resolve your case.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you need to make a payment or request a hearing<\/strong>\u00a0please call 541-774-2040. Or visit our online payment system by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.municipalonlinepayments.com\/medfordor\">clicking here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Violation Trials have been canceled from November 24 through December\u00a011.<\/strong>\u00a0Please contact the court to update your mailing address.<\/li>\n<li>If you do not have access to a phone to contact the court regrading a criminal matter:\n<ul>\n<li>Get in touch with your public defender or attorney, if you have one, to reschedule your court appearance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Next Steps<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nCity leaders will continue to monitor guidance from Governor Kate Brown and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).<\/p>\n<p>Continued City closures will be based on Jackson County\u2019s risk level assessment by OHA. Risk levels will be evaluated every two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Please continue to take preventative actions to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
